Are Cahit Zarifoğlu's Şehzade Tales Complete? ABSTRACT Another field in which Cahit Zarifoğlu, one of the important names of modern Turkish poetry in the Republican Era, has made a name for himself is children's literature. Zarifoğlu, who came to the forefront with his poetry, wrote poems, radio plays, fairy tales and stories for children. As in his poetry, his non-traditional style in writing children's literature attracted attention. The narratives he wrote for children have features that will appeal to both child readers and adult readers. Many of his children's stories and fairy tales contain the characteristics of fantastic fiction and fable genre. Cahit Zarifoğlu's children's literature narratives were published in magazines at the time they were written and later published as stand-alone children's books. The series of Küçük Şehzade tales published in Mavera magazine were published in sections. In 1987, it was published as a book under the title of Küçük Şehzade. There are three texts in the book, titled Şehzade Yazı Yazıyor, Nöbetçi and Kırk Kapılı Bin Hazine, which develop around Küçük Şehzade. As a result of our examinations, we came across three more texts belonging to the Küçük Şehzade series, which were not included in the book and remained between the pages of the magazine. In the article, Cahit Zarifoğlu's children's writing will be mentioned, and the work Küçük Şehzade and the narratives of Kamış Kalem, İki Kız Kardeşin Ricası, Küçük Şehzade, which are not included in the work, will be analyzed. These narratives would complete the gap created by the missing pieces in the Küçük Şehzade series. Keywords: Cahit Zarifoğlu, Children's Literature, Fairy Tale, Küçük Şehzade, Mavera
