Özet
Hurûfîlik 14. yüzyılda Fazlullah Esterabadi tarafından Tebriz’de ortaya konulmuş, İslam’ın Batıni bir yorumudur. Esterabadi rüya yorumlarından elde ettiği bilgileri kullanmış, İslam’ın temel kavramlarını dönüştürerek Anadolu, İran ve Hindistan’a yayılan yeni bir dinî anlayış getirmiştir. Hurûfîler dünyanın işleyişine, geleceğe dair haberler vererek âlim, devlet adamı, asker vb. pek çok zümreden taraftar toplamışlardır. Orhan Pamuk, Kara Kitap romanında İslam kültürünün pek çok değerinin yanında Hurûfîliğe de geniş bir şekilde yer vermiştir. Celal karakterinin Fazlullah Esterabadi ile özdeşleştiği romanda, Galip Hurûfîlerin yüz okuma, rüya yorumu, sayı ve harf sembolizmi vb. yöntemlerini kullanarak dünyanın gizemlerini çözmeye çalışır. Galip karısı Rüya’yı ararken çıktığı yolculukta Hurûfîlerle ve Hurûfîliğe dair izlerle karşılaşır. Bu makalede Kara Kitap romanına yansıyan Hurûfîliğin inançları, kavramları ve yöntemleri tespit edilecek, romanın işleyişine yaptığı katkılar ortaya konulacaktır.

Abstract
Hurûfîsm is a Batinite interpretation of Islam in the 14th century and set by Fazlullah Esterabadi in Tabriz. Esterabadi used the information which he obtained from his dream interpretations, and transformed the basic concepts of Islam and brought a new religious understanding spreading to Anatolia, Iran and India. Hurûfîs gathered supporter like scholars, statesmen, soldiers etc. by informing about functioning of the world and also future. In his novel The Black Book, Orhan Pamuk referred to Hurûfîsm broadly as well as many other values of Islamic culture. In the novel where Celal's character is identified with Fazlullah Esterabadi, Galip tries to solve the mysteries of the world by using the methods like Hurûfîs’ face reading, dream interpretation, number and letter symbolism, etc. Galip encounters the the Hurûfîs and the signs of Hurûfîsm in his journey while he is searching for his wife Rüya. In this article, In this article, the beliefs, concepts and methods of Hurûfîsm which are reflected in The Black Book novel will be determined and their contributions of the novel’s functioning will be revealed.
