Özet
Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk edebiyatının başlangıç yıllarında şiirde yenileşme ve değişme yolunda Garip şiir hareketinin önemli katkısı olmuştur. "Birinci Yeni" olarak da adlandırılan bu hareketin geniş anlamı ile sanat ve kültürel miras, dar anlamı ile gelenek konusundaki görüşleri ve düşünceleri edebiyat dünyasında geniş, yankılar uyandırmıştır. Biz incelememizde Garip şairlerinin gelenek kavramına ya da olgusuna nasıl baktıklarını ve bu kavramın neden bir sorun olarak algılandığını irdelemeye çalışacağız. Gelenek, yenide devam eden eski, bunun algıIanması, tanımlanması, uygulanması ya da yadsınması ise geleneğin sorunsallaştırlmasıdır. "Yapıyı temelinden değiştirme" ilkesi ile yola çıkan ve eskiye ait ne varsa tümünü atmayı poetik duruş, olarak belirleyen Garipçilerin gelenek, geleneksel nitelik kazandığı söylenen Divan şiiri ve bu şiirin uygulanıyor olması ile klasik olgusunun nasıl algıIandığını açıklamak bu incelemenin asıI amacıdır.

Abstract
During the initial years of the republican era of Turkish literature, the Garip poetry movemen thelped in the renewing and transforming of poetry. Also called "Birinci Yeni" (The First New), the movement's views on arts and cultural heritage in a wider prospectand traditionin a narrower prospect have had a powerful echo in the world of literature. In our treatise it's been attempted to analyze how the Garip poets saw the concept or fact of tradition and why it was perceived as a problem. Tradition is the old continued in the new; its problematization is the perception, definition, application or ignorance thereof. It's the main purpose of this treatise how tradition, allegedly traditional Diwan poetry and its application and the fact of classic were perceived by the Garipists, who started with the principle of "transforming the structure from the foundations" and determined their poetic stance as disposing of whatever belonged to the old.
