Özet
Servet-i Fünûn romanında hayal ve gerçek çatışmasının birey üzerinde kurduğu baskı yoğun olarak işlenir. Özellikle hayattan kaçma arzusu, bu dönem romanında ana kurguyu destekleyen yan tema olarak karşımıza çıkar. Mehmet Rauf'un Ferdâ-yı Garam romanı da dış dünyaya uyum sağlamakta zorluk çeken on beş yaşındaki Sermet'in psikolojisi üzerine kurgulanmıştır. Romanda amca çocukları olan Sermet ve Macit'in aşkları iki gencin ruhsal yönelimleri doğrultusunda anlatılır. İki gencin ruhsal sıkıntıları hem sosyolojik hem de psikolojik boyutta sunulmuştur.

Abstract
Impression of imagination and dealt conflict over the individual is dealt with intensively in Servet-i Funun novel. Particularly, desire to escape from life appears as a subordinate theme supporting the main theme in this term novel. Here, Mehmet Rauf's novel, Ferdâ-yi Garam, is constructed upon psychology of Sermet, who is fifteen years old and has difficulty in orientation toward the outside world. In the novel, love of the cousins named Sermet and Macit is told in the context of mental tendencies of these two young's. Moreover, two young's mental troubles are presented in both sociologically and psychologically dimensions.
