Özet
Mehmet Âkif Ersoy, Türk edebiyatının adından sıkça söz edilen kişilerinden biridir. O, şiir türü çerçevesinde kalem ürünleriyle tanınmıştır. Fakat yaşadığı dönemin şartları içinde sosyal problemler uğruna sanatından taviz vermek durumunda kalmıştır. Düşüncelerini, eleştirel bakışını ve tekliflerini manzum metinler hâlinde ortaya koymuştur. Böyle olunca da şiiriyeti ötelemiş, düzyazıya, hikâye ve tiyatroya yaklaşan bir söylem geliştirme yoluna gitmiştir. Bu da onu asıl vadim dediği gerçek şiir sanatından uzaklaştırmış, bir manzum metin (hikâye ve tiyatro) yazarına yaklaştırmıştır.

Abstract
Mehmet Âkif Ersoy is one of the persons in Turkish literature, who made a distinguished name for himself. He was known especially with his poems. But in the conditions of the period in he lived, he had to compensate of his art because of social problems. He suggested his notions, critical points of view and proposals as poetical texts. In this way he postponed the lyrical form and developed a discourse which got nearly to prose, story and theatre. This removed him from his real poetry which he called my major valley, approached him to a poetic text (story and theatre) writer.
