Özet
Bu çalışmada edebiyat - sinema ilişkisi ele alınarak roman ve film arasındaki farklar tespit edilecek, sinemanın edebiyata başvurma sebepleri ile romandan filme uyarlama yöntemleri üzerinde durulacak, başarısız edebiyat uyarlamalarının başarılı hâle gelmesi için yapılabileceklere dikkat çekilecektir.

Abstract
In this study, the differences between the novel and film will be detected by means of examining the relationship between cinema and literature, the reasons of cinema’s application for literature and the methods of adaptation from a novel to a movie will be expressed and the ways of how unsuccessful literature adaptations can be successful will be pointed out.
