THE CLARITY SIGNS IN KOVA SÜRÜCÜSÜ OF KAFKA
Umberto Eco, one of the famuous semioticians of 20th century is an art-man creating tremendous impression around the world with his novels and essays. That his field of interest spreads to a large scale enables author to concern with literature both as a writer and a reader. That he makes literary criticisms in addition to his novels reveals a theory having the characteristic of surrounding theory quality and this theory has the same name with the book which is composed of ‘Açık Yapıt’ essays. In this study, some of the principles of the ‘The Open Work’ have been stated, and in the lights of this principles, Eco’s clarity principles in the Kova Sürücüsü, novel of Franz Kafka,who is the initiator of the modernst novel age, are traced. This analysis method through which to be implemented along with Kova Sürücüsü, a small narration of Kafka, has the capacity of being implemented on many other work of arts with a more detailed qualifications and in a wider perspectives. The extensive evaluation and progress of Eco’s “Açık Yapıt” model with new analysis will contribute to pattern analysis methods and will enable it to gain a different perspective.
