MYTHCAL ELEMENTS AND LEITMOTIVS IN THE STORIES OF HÜSEYİN SU
Hüseyin Su is mentioneda mong the "Neo-Traditionalists" in the republican Turkish storytelling. The author has a total of 27 stories published in his four story books titled Tüneller, Ana Üşümesi, Gülşefdeli Yemeni and Aşkın Halleri. In this article it is analyzed how the author workes through such myths as road, search, return/rebirth and death; rituals and leitmotivs; and such elements of symbolic value as dreaming, letter, rose, crate, book, talisman and pidgeon within the conception of adherence to tradition
in literature.
