The most important elements that constitute a text are characters, time, plot, and undoubtedly setting. Just as setting is necessary for an event to unfold, the setting depicted also plays a significant role in analyzing characters and determining their psychological foundations. Ayşegül Devecioğlu, one of the most prolific writers of recent years, has often written works that highlight post-coup traumas and collective memory. While her works will be examined from a historical and sociological perspective, her mastery of language and setting is also noteworthy. Therefore, the author's first storybook, Winter Sleep, is intended to be read within the context of the use of space and objects. In the study, firstly, brief information about the life, artistic side and works of Ayşegül Devecioğlu was given and the place, importance and types of places and objects in literary texts were revealed. This analysis then analyzes the use of space in Winter Sleep within the context of depiction, gender, the relationship between space and culture, the relationship between space and psychology, and ecocriticism. In the second part, the use of objects in the book, spatial objects, metaphorical objects, objects according to their associative function, culture-object and psychology-object relations are examined.
