RULING OVER FICTION: FROM “DETAIL” TO “ESSENCE” KUŞLAR YASINA GİDER
Literary text, with a multi-layer structure, may reveal distinctive meanings in compliance with various theoretical readings. Artist’s desires, tendencies and skills, his approach to art, his point of view, the mentality elements of the era in which he lives come to the forefront as dominant factors enabling these kinds of readings. The literary text, constructed upon realities peculiar to human being are changed and rendered through fiction, presents a imaginary characteristic that meets all these elements on common ground. One of the significant elements that ensures reaching the essence of this imaginary structure is detail. The objective of this paper is to study the role of detail so as to reach the essence the writer aims to present especially getting out of the density of postmodern works and put forward the elements of detail in Kuşlar Yasına Gider.
