Halikarnas Balıkçısı (Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı) is one of those writers who benefit from their own biography at most. He widely gives place to experiences of the years that he lived in Halikarnas (Bodrum). Initially he was in Halikarnas as an exile, but then he liked the region and did not leave there. After his exile years he dealt with fishing and farming, thus he paid more attention to being in life as well as being writer. In his first work Aganta Burina Burinata, his life of fishing, farming, marriage etc. is reflected to the novel with explicit marks from his biography.
