VOICE OF TURCIST SENSITIVITIES IN THE SECOND CONSTITUTIONAL ERA İZMİR PRESS: TAN MAGAZINE AND ITS INDEX
Tan was a magazine that became the agent of Turcist sensitivities (language, arts, culture and patriotisms) in the Second Constitutional Era press in İzmir. In the ideological and literary articles within Tan magazine; unity and solidarity, fraternity, patriotism, the past and future of Turk identity and the responsibilities of youth are mentioned. The article on 'ideal's erialized in Tan analyzest he concept of 'mefkure' frequently pronounced by Ziya Gökalp in detail. The dependence of political independence on the economic one is also emphasized in Tan. The board of authors of Tan act around the ideal of Turcism, demonstrating sensitivity on the material and spiritual values lost after the Balkan Wars.
