AESTHETIC FEATURES IN BIOGRAPHIC/MONOGRAPHIC BOOKS OF SEZAİ KARAKOÇ

Aesthetic Features in Biographic/Monographic Books of Sezai Karakoç Abstract The biography genre can be considered a writing style based on understanding and transferring the traces left by human beings during their journey on earth and the thoughts behind their actions. Therefore, artists and writers prefer to share the lives of social figures to develop ideas. Sezai Karakoç has a collection of intellectual works focusing on many subjects such as Islam, art, literature, civilization, and economy, along with a group of literary works such as poems, stories, and theatre. Review books titled Mehmed Âkif, Yunus Emre, and Mevlânâ within this collection are remarkable as biography and review work written by a poet. Karakoç’s work of Yitik Cennet (Paradise Lost) can be considered a literary commentary on the history of the prophets. This paper strives to interpret the intellectual background of aesthetic and symbolic structure that Karakoç establishes in his works of Yunus Emre, Mevlânâ, Mehmed Âkif, and Yitik Cennet (Paradise Lost).
