“GOD-DESTINY-RELIGION” DEFINITIONS IN TURKISH TRADITIONS AND THEIR REFLECTION IN AITMATOV’S BOOKS PREFACE
According to Aitmatov, God (Almighty) is the unique power that defines and regulates the fate (destiny). Once a person is aware of his impotence against (weakness before) the Creator, he has to follow his fate (destiny) without any hesitations. Every person who has come of age realizes the unavoidable truth, he must follow his own fate (destiny), add to this fate (destiny) his own elements and by choosing a certain direction he must find his own road among all possible roads and possibilities. When the Mind (and the Thinking/Consciousness) actuates (actuate), the Personal Responsibility comes into effect. That happens because no matter how the Creator defines one’s destiny, a person who has a freedom of choice is always responsible for his decisions. The fate (destiny) defined by God is the begging or the breaking point. The difference between notions “the Creator – the faithful (believer), the faith – the adoration” takes effect only when the Mind starts working. The Mind is the threshold of the Will: irrevocable truth that happens once in a lifetime, like a moment of birth which cannot be repeated…
