THE CONSTRUCTION OF OTHER SELF BY POET’S SELF AS THE SUBJECT OF POEM: SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS AND STRANGMENT IN HAYDAR GULEN’S POETRY
During the process of the creation of art, the artist occupies himself with the reality of writing cutting of his ties with the word within himself. Hence, in all literary works, the uniqueness of the artist becomes explicit and this uniqueness is systematized in relation to the quality/quantity of the literary work. The artist becomes the presentator and the lead actor of this system in accordance with the function and the form of the product he wil create. To realize the creativity and uniqueness, the artist makes use of the opportunities of the creativity process in regard to his/her own abilities. Haydar Ergülen, one of the contemporary poets multiplies his self-creating other selves with an effort to hunt his own being. The reader comes across the different visions of the poet’s self who strives for freeing his self from the tendencies of egoist self and having a self-consciousness. This attitude within the process of writing poetry offers the reader a marvellous realm as well as a diversity to analyze and have an insight into his poetry. To this end, present study explores different aspects of the poet’s cycle in his poetry which floats from his self to other and from other to the self consciousness level.
